The group is back, with a call-in from Ron, and with two guests: Tucson Steve and White-Whale Steve. We start the show discussing our recent Christmas experiences. Once Ron calls in, we jump into a review of the new Star Wars movie - The Last Jedi - and talk about logical flaws and the worst moments in the latest installment in the franchise. Afterwards, we talk about the number of houses that have Christmas lights and how that can be an economic indicator but it does not account for lazy people. Then Belia and her friend call in and she explains how she got tied-up at the bar and cannot make it to our podcast. Gil then describes a hypothesis about the existence of super heroes but it gets shot down. Then Albert floats a hypothesis about how they are killing of old white men. By who? Them and they know because they are doing the killing. This leads to a discussion about the new iPhone X and if any new features are truly innovative after the death of Steve Jobs. Albert, then, describes a future plan he has to regress (or progress?) into owning just a flip phone and giving up his smart phone. We then talk about Alexa, the voice from Amazon’s Echo products, and how it (she) is always listening... and then we get into a conversation about Big Brother and how a small spyware program called the Weather Bug infected our early computers. We end the show with a bit of Trump talk, how the Electoral College is kind of weird, being woke, and finally we speculate on who will run against Trump in the next election.
